Obaze decries non passage of #NotTooYoungToRun Bill

OHO Press Release: 17/23 of 19 July 2017, Statement Attributable to Mr. Oseloka H. Obaze, on the Non passage of the #NotTooYoungToRun Bill
The non passage of the #NotTooYoungToRun bill at the National Assembly is deeply regrettable and indeed, disappointing. In an age where demography compels Youth inclusion, the least we owe our teeming youth population is the total removal of age restrictions in political participation. If at 21 Nigerian youths are qualified to vote, drive, fly a plane, smoke, drink alcohol, get married, join the military to fight and die for their country, they ought to be qualified to lead.  Nigerian Youths, should not accept this development as a defeat, but as motivation to fight on till the end. Intensive lobbying and a united front for Young people will yield tremendous result. Nigeria started this campaign, which has turned global, it would be a shame if we are not the first to see it yield result. Over 70 million Youths of our population deserve the chance to lead, let them have it.
