Selonnes Policy Tidbits: | Covid-19: We must monitor the R-Value in the 36 States

It is imperative to commence mandatory testing in all 36 states simultaneously for those who are symptomatic and even asymptomatic. The reason is simple. If you contain infection rates in Abuja and Lagos, but the virus persists untracked in others states, the R Value – the number of people infected by one infected person – will subsist, more so if an errant infected traveler reinfect people in states where infection is already contained. Presently Nigeria has 6000 people on the active NCDC tracing list. Nigeria, with her national borders closed, will be best served, if the 36 states work in harmony to control the spread. This requires every state to be funded to develop the required response capacity. – OHO
