I’m presently researching a book chapter on the risk of rising illiberalism in Nigeria. My co-author and I encountered the passage below, which relative to Nigeria, sounds all too common. “The crisis in the Amazon is a stark example of the damage that can be done when governments bow unequivocally to business interests.
