Obaze, democracy and other matters
Granting his first formal interview since the November 2017 Anambra governorship elections to Ifeyinwa Aronu, who writes for The Oracle Today, Oseloka H. Obaze, the PDP gubernatorial candidate speaks on an array of political and strategic policy issues, but declined to speak on Anambra governance issues.
On Nigeria’s democracy, he said: “Nigeria’s democracy is progressing in a halting manner and the promised change has not manifested.
That will be the basis for determining the leadership in the 2019 elections”
On the decamping spree, he said: “The spate of decamping represents a political trend of realignment and alliances.
Those in the ruling party who can form an alliance with the opposition must inevitably decamp.”
