Let’s strive to end fake news –  Obaze, MD/CEO Selonnes Consult

On this World Communication Day, I join Pope Francis II and the entire Catholic Church in condemning the spiralling rise of fake news across the world. Fake news is bad news and therefore trouble. As we approach an election year, it expected that this trend will escalate. While rhetoric remains the bedrock of political obfuscation, false news stretches rhetoric beyond the acceptable. We must put measures in place to check this. I urge practitioners to be above board and retain the interest of the masses in their hearts. Let’s strive to end Fake news, it is indeed “evil”. Communication is key to development efforts, wishing you all a fruitful celebration.
