OHO Press Release: 17/24 of 10 August, 2017Statement Attributable to Mr. Oseloka H. Obaze, on being screened for the PDP Governorship elections in Anambra 

Today, I was the second of the seven PDP aspirants for the Anambra Governorship race screened by the  Adamu Maina Waziri led committee. 

My interaction with the committee, was constructive and to my mind, cordial, fair and productive. I responded to all the questions and issues raised and gave and offered the committee my perspectives on Anambra’s leadership and governance needs, and my bona fides as an aspirant. 

I was informed that a petition by an undisclosed person was received by the screening committee directed at my person, in relation to my publicly expressed views about “political ideology” in Nigeria; about my being a “Nomadic politician” and a new comer to PDP. I have responded to each concern, as appropriate. 

I remain grateful for the opportunity offered to me to seek to serve our people on the platform of the PDP and to add value and contribute to changing the political narrative in Anambra state. I wish to reiterate my full confidence and respect for the fairness, credibility and integrity of the screening committee, while awaiting their verdict.
