Government alone cannot educate our children ~ Obaze

Education is about facilitating learning, acquisition of knowledge and skills and preparing one for sustainable life in the society. You achieve this by formal and informal methods, teaching, discussions training, research and even storytelling schooling, and adult education. We need to put our educational system in perspective. Regardless of the classification 6-3-3-4, public, private, mission, Almajiri, part of formal education include counselling and mentoring. Proper education, exposure, mentoring, training and access to global best practices are means of making our youths globally competitive; Government alone cannot educate our children. We must ask the Missions and private individuals to assist. We must also focus on vocational training and professions that require certification rather than university degrees.
