Statement Attributable to Mr. Oseloka H. Obaze, on 2017 Children’s Day.

OHO Press Release: 17/17; 27 May, 2017 Statement Attributable to Mr. Oseloka H. Obaze, on 2017 Children’s Day Message

Children account for over 40 percent of Nigeria’s population. Out of hese, 10.5 million children are of school, and represent the highest per capita number in the world. We are challenged by the grave child malnutrition especially in the north east, inherent child violence in all states of the federation and then, the abducted Chibok school girls who are still in captivity. We must invest, as a matter of priority and urgency, in our children. We have no future without the Children and Youths of this country. We must not miss this opportunity to reshape Nigeria by offering the best of treatments to our children. As we celebrate this day, l call on all government to respect and implement the Nigeria’s Child Right Act, fully and the remaining 13 states to domesticate the law. We wish the children of Nigeria the best now and in the future. Our country belongs to you, Happy #Children’sDay
