Africa Day Message – Africa’s unmet needs persist

OHO Press Release: 17/16; 25 May, 2017
Statement Attributable to Mr. Oseloka H. Obaze, on Africa Day 2017

Africa has come of age, but age-old challenges and unmet needs of her people persist. With a population of 1.2 billion people and 65 percent of that number below 35 year and mostly unemployed, we must redirect our focus on utilizing Africa’s endowment and resources for the welfare of her people. We must harness our demographic dividend by investing in our greatest resource, our Youths. This will guarantee the future and truly deliver the #AfricaWeWant. As we celebrate Africa Day today, it is important to note that the true strength of Africa emerges in unity. Happy Africa Day!
