The Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University College of Medicine graduating class 2017, on Friday 12 May 2017, at their graduating dinner, in Awka, honoured Mr Oseloka H. Obaze (OHO) with their “Meritorious Service Award” for his services to humanity. Mr Obaze was represented by Mr Izu J. Okoye and Mr Chiagozie Udeh. Mr Obaze in his thank you remarks, asked the graduates “to stay true to their professional calling and to remember that a healthy nation is a progressive nation.” He said he was “always gratified to identify with youths who represent the greatest assets Nigeria has.”

Mr. Obaze is the former Secretary to the State Government of Anambra State, Nigeria from 2012 to 2015 - MD & CEO, Oseloka H. Obaze. Mr. Obaze also served as a former United Nations official, from 1991-2012, and as a former member of the Nigerian Diplomatic Service, from 1982-1991.
