Oseloka H. Obaze on Radio Sapientia 95.3 FM, says – ethical implications of whistleblowing can be positive as well as negative.

Speaking on Sapentia FM Radio at Onitsha, Mr Oseloka H. Obaze said that as welcome as the policy of whistle blowing is, it must be backed by legislation since the ethical implications of whistleblowing can be positive as well as negative.  Obaze said “Government agencies must evaluate and investigate every situation fully before going public. It’s better to set ten criminals free than hurt an innocent citizen.” The Bill on whistle blowing did not pass during the 7th Senate Due to the withholding of presidential assent. It has not bee passed by the 8th Senate.
