Obaze welcomes the recent granting of bail to Mr Nnamdi Kanu

Appearing on Blaze 91.5 FM station where he discussed the “Need for Regional Economic Integration in the South East,” Mr Oseloka H. Obaze welcomed the recent granting of bail to Mr Nnamdi Kanu, the self-proclaimed leader of the Biafran struggle. Mr Obaze said, “the bail, the third granted by various courts was long overdue. Granting the bail shows that our democracy is working, even if slowly and in a halting fashion. Government must learn to obey Court orders. It was gratifying that Gov. Fayose appeared at the court to show solidiarity. Such a gesture was in defense of our constitution and ordered liberties.”  Obaze said also that “expectations of southeast regional integration cannot materialize if the political leadership is hobbled, lack vision, and the political will and does not understand fully the need to partner with the organized private sector.”
