Oseloka H. Obaze (OHO) on Dream 92.5 FM –  says Nigeria is not yet out of recession.

Oseloka H. Obaze while appearing on Enugu’s Dream 92.5 FM radio earlier today, said those who are supposed to uphold the law, through their non compliance with Court Orders and Senate summons, flout the same law from which they derive their legitimacy and thus set a dangerous precedence in our democracy. Though he commended the suspension of Babachir Lawal and the DG of NIA, as a step in the right direction, Obaze noted that the general perception as reflected by the views of the callers was that the anti-corruption fight of Muhammadu Buhari’s administration was lopsided. He said that at times, “perception trumps reality.” While insisting that Nigeria’s trajectory for development could be much more faster than it currently is, Obaze noted that corruption can be stamped out in the country. While recognizing the envisaged goals  of the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan (ERGP), Obaze said that Nigeria, a country richly endowed with human and material resources continue to suffer greatly from self-inflicted injuries. He said Nigeria’s political class who, by the way, are a very insignificant minority compared to the population of the entire country have, through acts of corruption and breach of public trust, underdeveloped the nation.
