Oseloka H. Obaze (OHO)Jubilates with Ogbaru Anglican Community

Leadership they say transcends boundaries and a good leader offers selfless service to the people irrespective of ethno-cultural background or denominational differences. Since leadership means response to calls, Oseloka H. Obaze, an accomplished administrator and seasoned diplomat is always at the beck and call of anybody or organisation who needs his attention.

Just as he always does, Oseloka Obaze was among his people on Wednesday to witness the joyful dedication ceremony of a new church building of the Zion Anglican Church, Ochuche – Umuodu of the Anglican Diocese of Ogbaru.Speaking during the dedication ceremony, Obaze was thankful to the Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Ogbaru; Rt. Revd Dr. Samuel C. Ezeofor (Jp) who presided over the dedication service; Venerable George Anaekwe, the Archdeacon of Ogbaru Central Archdeaconry and Evangelist Bekee C. Bekee, the church teacher for their service to God and humanity.

As a son of the soil who is adept with the history of the community, he recalled that Ochuche people were formerly enmeshed in idol worshipping but has now accepted Christianity; an action he said has brought about massive transformation to the community.
While noting with every sense of pride that Ochuche is one of the few places in Anambra State where every building is enumerated and identified with a specific address, he urged the priest in residence to register the new church building with the town union, in order not to be left out.
Just as the Holy Bible admonishes that, our “left hand” should not know what the “right hand” is doing, Obaze donated an undisclosed amount of money to the church to support the body of Christ while his brother; Dubem Obaze donated the sum of one hundred thousand Naira.
The Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Ogbaru; Rt. Revd Dr. Samuel C. Ezeofor (Jp) who presided over the dedication service thanked all those who contributed to the completion of the church building, which was started in April 2014 and completed in record time.

Bishop Ezeofor did not end the service without praying to God to grant Oseloka Obaze and other benevolent individuals towards the work of God their heart desires.
