Oseloka H. Obaze (OHO) Join in Marking 50th Anniversary of Archbishop Charles Heerey’s death (11/2/17)
Oseloka H. Obaze (OHO), MD/CEO Selonnes Consult joined a host of Catholic faithfuls at the Basilica of the Holy a Trinity Onitsha as they marked the 50th Anniversary of the death of Most Rev. Charles Heerey, CSSP, the first Catholic Bishop of Onitsha. Mr. Obaze said that one of the greatest legacies of Archbishop Heerey was Catholic Mission schools like CKC Onitsha, which has produced many civic and political leaders and public servants of high repute. As he recalled, “Archbishop Val Okeke, Hon Justice Peter Umeadi and I were in Form One at CKC Onithsa in 1967 and Archbishop Heerey had visited us in January and celebrated mass for us. One month later we were informef that he had passed. It was like the world had ended. Such legends were not supposed to die.”
