The Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] flag bearer for the upcoming Anambra State governorship election, Mr Oseloka H. Obaze‏ has joined the call for restructuring.

Mr Obaze, however, said that in the name of equity in the restructuring, the South East should have an additional state.

He made this known in a statement he posted on his Twitter handle on Tuesday. He said:

“If you want to do restructuring, the South East should have an additional state. Once you do that, you reduce the clamour. We need equity!”

It is no secret that the South East zone has the lowest of states among the six geo-political zones with just five states while the North East has seven.

Before he joined politics as the then Secretary to Anambra State Government, Obaze was a seasoned UN Diplomat, Administrator, Servant-leader, governance & policy Expert, Mentor, Author, Influencer, Problem Solver.

He is now the Anambra PDP governorship candidate.

Earlier on Tuesday, Obaze received a delegation of the British High Commission led by Katrina Aitken-Laird, in a breakfast meeting.

During the meeting, they conferred on the forthcoming election, security in the South East, good governance and development.
