News Track: I will build Anambra with limited resources – Obaze

A former Secretary to the Government of Anambra State, Oseluka Obaze‎, has said he would deliver good governance to the people of the state with limited resources if elected governor.
He also promised that his administration would conduct local government elections which he said has not been given any attention for so many years.

Obaze who obtained his expression of interest and nomination forms at the PDP national secretariat in Abuja,‎ told newsmen shortly after, that he had a better chance of winning than any other aspirant seeking the same office.

He however, denied being a political god-son to the former governor, ‎Peter Obi, on whose administration he served as SSG.

‎”My commitment is that we will conduct local government elections. We are worried that the state is not doing well the way it should with all the human and material resources in place.‎ So what the people want is what we will deliver to them.

“My chances are very bright because of my experience, exposure, vision and understanding of policy. I have the knowledge of how governance work more than any other aspirant,” he said.

Obaze explained that in a democracy, there must be periodic elections, and advised IPOB leaders to sheathe their swords and allow the election to hold.
