Dignitaries Honour Coal City FM Enugu, as it Rebrands

Many ex-broadcasters, on air personalities and politicians today gathered in Enugu as the oldest radio station East of the Niger, Coal City 92.9 FM Enugu was being Rebranded /Re-Launched. Among the dignitaries that graced the occasion were the Deputy Governor of Enugu State, HE Mrs Ezeilo represented by Mrs. Chioma Ugwum, Dr. Levi Muonanu who chaired the occasion, and Mr Oseloka H. Obaze, a good governance advocate and a public policy expert who was the special guest of honour. Other guests were High Chief Paul Nnajiofor member representing Nkanu East in Enugu State House of Assembly, Rev. Fr. Prof. Christian Anieke, Deputy Corps Commander E. O. Ebeniro. Speaking at the event, Mr. Obaze said “radio stations have the corporate, social and moral responsibility to also speak the truth, especially in this false news, hate speeches and post-truth era.”

Mr. Obaze is the former Secretary to the State Government of Anambra State, Nigeria from 2012 to 2015 - MD & CEO, Oseloka H. Obaze. Mr. Obaze also served as a former United Nations official, from 1991-2012, and as a former member of the Nigerian Diplomatic Service, from 1982-1991.
