Obaze speaks at Hot 96.5 FM Asaba — underlines need for functional local government in Anambra State.
Mr. Oseloka H. Obaze speaking at Hot 96.5 FM in Asaba, has underlined the need for functional local government in Anambra, if Anambra State must develop fully. He said elected local government officials were constitutionally mandated, and alternatively, state laws mandated appointed traditional councils. For neither to exist is a clear breach of the constitution and extant laws. Absence of both continue to impact negatively on development at the grassroots. There was also the question of how local government funds were currently being managed and utilized.
