Obaze join Ex Rangers players to Bid ace defender Francis Obi Okoye farewell

Tributes and honours poured in as Nigerian football ace defender Francis Obi Okoye (82), aka “IronGate” was buried in his country home in Ihiala. On hand were Selonnes Consult MD/CEO. Mr Oseloka H. Obaze (OHO), ex Rangers International players and a host of other dignitaries. In his tribute, Mr Obaze said it was “gratifying that players who came long after “Iron Gate” turned up to bid him farewell, since he was a good ambassador for Igboland, Eastern Nigeria, and Nigeria.” The late Obi Okoye played for Aba Gaint Killers, for the Red Devils and Nigerian National team. He later coached teams like Rangers, CKC Onitsha, DMGS and other schools.

Mr. Obaze is the former Secretary to the State Government of Anambra State, Nigeria from 2012 to 2015 - MD & CEO, Oseloka H. Obaze. Mr. Obaze also served as a former United Nations official, from 1991-2012, and as a former member of the Nigerian Diplomatic Service, from 1982-1991.
